Dentistry goes far beyond giving patients a healthy smile. In some cases, it can mean improving someone’s quality of life. Dr. James Younger knows this all too well. That’s why he felt the need to help About Face, a Canadian charitable organization offering support to individuals with facial differences.
About Face aims to promote and enhance the emotional and mental well-being of individuals with facial differences through social and peer support, educational programs and public awareness.
TempStars works to help them in their promotional efforts – not only helping to spread the message of About Face, but also providing marketing consultation to help them clarify their messages and launch promotional campaigns.
Dr. Younger saw the importance in supporting a charity within the dental space in order to raise awareness to his professional colleagues. “Sometimes facial differences can be improved through collaborative efforts with dental professionals, including oral surgeons, orthodontists, prosthodontics, etc.”
Raising awareness for About Face is only a part of TempStars’ other contributions to the cause. They recently helped organize and launch a summer camp campaign which gives individuals with facial differences the chance to go to summer camp, make new friends and experience a sense of belonging.
